If Royal Restrooms was a majestic southern oak tree, its roots would be in Savannah, Georgia, and its branches would spread across the state and country.
Georgia is the birthplace of the company, founded on a hot summer day in 2004, when David Sauers, then a banker, took two of his daughters to a festival in the park. When faced with a dirty port-a-potty and a potty training child, he knew there had to be a better solution. From there, Sauers met up with Kappa Alpha fraternity brother Robert Glisson who took Sauers' rough idea and gave it his engineer's polish.
Leaving successful careers behind, Sauers and Glisson co-founded Royal Restrooms, paved the way for contemporary portable restrooms for special occasions like weddings, festivals, emergency response/disaster relief, and business remodels, and became leaders in the luxury portable restrooms and porta potty rental industries.
From the flagship Savannah office, over 40 additional offices have sprung up all over the country, with three offices in Savannah, Atlanta, and Columbus serving the Peach State.
DAVID SAUERS JR.David is the co-founder of Royal Restrooms Nationwide and Director of Nationwide Franchise Sales. Always drawing in a little black notebook, he was constantly trying to come up with his next great idea before his entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found Royal Restrooms in 2004. David also is proud to put his extensive knowledge of restroom design and function into ensuring Royal Restrooms continues to be innovative for its guests and customers.
David and his wife Christy have five children and live in Savannah, Georgia. They attend Blessed Sacrament Church, enjoy boating the coastal waterways, and patronizing local restaurants and are passionate about travel.
Aixa GonzalezAixa has been a part of Royal Restrooms since 2016. She began working as a restroom attendant, cleaning and servicing the restroom trailers at events. Aixa now services nationwide and long-term contracts. She also delivers restrooms when needed and loves being onsite for wedding shows to represent Royal Restrooms.
A native of Puerto Rico who is fluent in Spanish, enjoys being mom to her two sons who keep her busy with camping and travel. Her new hobby is learning to paint and creating art.
KELLI SAUERSKelli Sauers-Henderson joined Royal Restrooms in 2022. As Franchise Relationship Manager, she builds communications between the offices and offering assistance in any way she can.
A Savannah local, Kelli has worked previously with non-profits and in the event industry. She brings 20 years of experience in the event planning and communications realm. Kelli has two step-kids and she and husband, Al, have a dog named Daisy who keeps them busy. She enjoys reading, going to the beach, and watching football.
ROY WHITERoy White has been with Royal Restrooms for two years. Since childhood, he has enjoyed tinkering around and building things with his hands. He continues this same sense of curiosity about the way things work and how to “do it better” with the restrooms, showers, and specialty trailers at Royal Restrooms. He also is the go-to delivery driver for new trailers for franchisees as well as corporate and long-term nationwide contracts.
Roy enjoys travel, his favorite places being wide open spaces and national parks. He has just returned from the trip of a lifetime exploring four countries on the African continent. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Cindy. They have two children and seven grandchildren.
EMILIE WILKINSONEmilie Wilkinson joined the Royal Restrooms team in 2023 as Executive Assistant.
Hailing from Boone, North Carolina, she attended East Tennessee State University. When deciding on a place to settle, she remembered Savannah’s weather, people, and atmosphere fondly from a Girl Scout trip when she was 12 and decided to make Savannah her new home. Outside of the office, Emilie enjoys writing for her food and event blog which documents life in her new favorite city.
Peter and Jessie Lennihan Royal RestroomsDenise Turner and her daughter, Jessie Lennihan, are proud franchisees of Royal Restrooms of Alabama.
Denise has been with the Royal Restrooms family for 15 years. Her husband, Tom, worked with Royal Restrooms Nationwide before they acquired the Columbus, Georgia office. As franchisees, they garnered valuable experience before Denise and her daughter decided to expand into the Alabama territory.
Jessie is a Coast Guard veteran, as is her husband, Peter, who still serves in the Coast Guard reserves. Denise and Jessie are excited to be the first woman - owned franchise in the Royal Restrooms family.
Bryan O'Dell ROYAL RESTROOMS of MobileBryan grew up living on the water fishing, in South Carolina, on the Gulf Coast, and taking trips to locales such as Guatemala. His love for the water drew him into the shipping industry, where he had a 20-year career. When it was time for the next phase of his life, Bryan decided to open Royal Restrooms of Mobile. Bryan, and his wife, Mandy, now spend their time between Savannah, Georgia and Mobile, Alabama. He still fishes whenever he can, and he is making a name for himself in the portable restroom industry. The Gulf Coast needed Royal Restrooms, and Bryan is meeting that need.
Jessica CartwrightGeneral Manager, ROYAL RESTROOMS ColoradoJessica Cartwright is the General Manager of Royal Restrooms Mountain West. She enjoys working with customers and employees to ensure that every job is executed in a safe and timely manner, with an extra touch of class! Growing up in the Mountain West, Jessica and her partner Jason spend their free time rafting, skiing, climbing, and camping with their three dogs. They also love to travel, experiencing culture and indulging in cuisine around the world.
Jorge BaylonRegional Manager, ROYAL RESTROOMS ColoradoJorge Baylon is the Regional Manager for the Colorado division of Royal Restrooms Mountain West. He is responsible for assigning, managing, and directing all work performed in his region. He possesses the flexibility to adapt to changes in business operations. He is great at problem-solving, using analytical, creative, and critical thinking skills. Jorge is a husband and father of two young adults, who enjoys walking with the family dog, going to soccer games, and watching procedural TV programs.

Tom was part of the Royal Restrooms Nationwide family for 15 years, as was Denise briefly, before they both acquired the Columbus, Georgia office. They worked side by side in the Savannah, Georgia office gaining valuable knowledge and offering some experience to the staff there as well.
Moving to the Columbus office gave them the confidence to also acquire the first Alabama-based franchise, one based in Montgomery. It is run by Denise and her daughter, Jessie.

A professional environmental engineer by trade, he co-founded Royal Restrooms in 2004. He left a lucrative job at an engineering firm to lend his technical skills to the design of the original luxury, portable restroom trailer. Robert is the managing partner of the flagship Savannah office, which has seen exponential growth, from two trailers to 125.

Kym McCarty Business Manager, Royal Restrooms of SavannahKym McCarty has been with Royal Restrooms since 2006 and is the backbone of the Savannah office. Kym has watched the small company grow from notes scribbled on the back of receipts to networked computers and personalized software, and she has been a part of shaping the progress every step of the way. Kym is truly a "leasing specialist," able to service clients hosting small dinner parties or large festivals and long-term rentals. Her favorite part of the job is building and nurturing client relationships.
Kym enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two daughters. Sharing family meals and attending sports activities and concerts are among some of her favorite pastimes.
Kelsi Watters Business and Operations Assistant, Royal Restrooms of SavannahKelsi Watters has been with Royal Restrooms since 2022. Kelsi works within the Royal Restrooms of Savannah customer service department and loves working with customers on their rentals. Since she began with Royal Restrooms, her role has expanded greatly. In addition to booking special event rentals and juggling all things administrative in the office, she has also mastered the process of pulling trailers and doing trailer setups and breakdowns. Toby and Rhonda are both natives to South Louisiana growing up in Mandeville and Covington areas on the Northshore. Toby enjoys hunting, being on the water and anything that requires a boiling pot. David RayDavid has a 35 year career spanning banking, commercial real estate and operations. David handles quotes, contracts, and finance for the company. David has a BS from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from The Wharton School.
Giles RayGiles is in charge of scheduling, delivery, and maintenance operations for the company. He has been with the company since graduating with a BS in Geology from the University of Utah in 2016. In his free time, Giles likes to ski, fish, sail and generally be on the water.
Daniel BakerDaniel oversees most of the weekly pumping operations and long-term maintenance. His attention to detail is strong and helps the company keep its vehicles and trailers operational and in good condition. In his free time Daniel loves fishing and generally being out of doors.
Ross DornRoss joined Royal Restrooms in 2020 and is quickly acclimating to the business. Ultimately he will be responsible for sales, marketing, and financial operations of the company in addition to co-managing operations with Giles. Ross has a long history with David and Gregor, having spent most of his 30 year career in commercial real estate. Ross has a BA in English from the University of Washington and an MS from MIT. In his free time Ross enjoys boating and hiking.
Caren and Steve Frazier are the franchisees of the Spokane office. Before joining Royal Restrooms, both had corporate jobs in the medical industry. They understood the importance of professional and reliable service. Caren had always had an eye for party planning and Steve, with his handy man problem solving skills, both felt they were missing something in their careers. They are thankful they are able to realize their dreams in Royal Restrooms.
Gregor’s career spans nearly 40 years, working for an industrial concern, followed by a long commercial real estate career where Gregor and David met. Gregor’s role in the company is to advise on marketing and strategy. Gregor has a BA in Accounting from the University of Washington. In his free time he enjoys fishing, hunting, golf and spending time with his grandchildren.
